Burner Hydrogen Enriched Natural Gas

As part of the “Hydrogen Technologies and End Uses” research initiative promoted by ENEA, NHOE is developing a new hydrogen burner prototype for advanced combustion applications.

The project aims to further investigate and develop hydrogen combustion technologies, building on NHOE’s previous experience in the design and manufacturing of innovative burner prototypes. The activity focuses on the development of a dedicated burner concept, with particular attention to combustion performance, operational flexibility, and the challenges associated with hydrogen as a fuel.

Through this project, NHOE is further strengthening its expertise in advanced combustion technologies and hydrogen applications, while expanding its R&D capabilities in support of the energy transition.

The project was awarded to NHOE within the framework of the ENEA call for proposals “Hydrogen Technologies and End Uses” and represents a further step in the development of innovative solutions for the sustainable use of hydrogen.

Work in progress: the burner design and prototype development are currently underway.
