ITT (Integration, tilting and transportation trolley)
MGSE ITT has designed and delivered a complete set of reconfigurable equipment to support the assembly, integration, testing, handling and transportation of Harmony’s antenna subsystems.
The delivery comprises four reconfigurable trolleys, three high-precision alignment systems, four antenna lifting frames and one dedicated transport container.
The reconfigurable trolleys have been engineered to support multiple operations throughout the antenna integration process. Their modular configuration enables the transportation of complete antennas or individual antenna panels, as well as single-panel integration activities. When operated as a coordinated system, three trolleys can be used simultaneously to support the alignment and integration of three antenna panels.
To achieve the positioning accuracy required for RF testing, the alignment systems allow the trolleys to be precisely aligned with each other across six degrees of freedom (6 DoF). This configuration enables controlled and accurate positioning of the antenna panels during assembly and integration.
Dedicated lifting frames ensure the safe handling and lifting of both complete antennas and individual panels, while the transport container provides a secure solution for their transportation.
The complete system combines reconfigurability, precision and safe handling in a single integrated solution, providing the flexibility required to support the different stages of antenna assembly and integration.
